Our aim is to preserve and practice traditional arts and crafts of the region by making them culturally and economically viable. All our activities to manufacture local products are built around local artisans to create a unique ecosystem. We not only provide training but also conduct workshops to develop capacity and a support system that anchors our work. Jigmat Couture encourages local communities to work as a team to become self-sufficient while also preserving traditional art-forms and generating a sustainable income through the practice of ancestral crafts, which nurtures our
collective identity.
In our Art and Artisan project, we are always happy to hear from volunteers and artists interested in collaborations. We encourage design professionals to use our resource centre and textile museum for research. We invite like-minded artisans and design students to collaborate with us on mutually beneficial projects. We will host you in Ladakh as our family! We're delighted to invite application from vediographer, animator and content writer for this year project.
Do write to us for more details.
